Why I entered GSC program
Green and Sustainable Chemistry Technology (GSC) was established to create an international platform to enhance cross-cultural interaction between young people from around the world, studying science together at the world's top universities, while also focusing on developing students who will lead the next generation of scientists. To ease the stress of students' lives and make them more focused on their research. To provide a shot in the arm for the advancement of scientific research in the environmental field.
Research title
Preliminary study of Environmentally Persistent Free Radicals (EPFRs) in aerosols from different sources in High-incidence Areas of Lung Cancer in Xuanwei, China
Research abstract
This study uses the EPR method to study 1) multi-particle particles collected from the simulated combustion of raw coal and biomass in Xuanwei area; 2) multi-particle atmospheric particles, EPFRs in the study, according to the g factor size PM EPFRs are classified, and compared Concentration levels and types under different sources and different weather conditions, analyze the causes of changes in their concentration levels and types, and analyze the correlation between EPFRs and several conventional air pollutants (SO2, NO2, CO, O3), Explore EPFRs in particles from different sources in Xuanwei high-incidence areas of lung cancer. At present, the research on EPFRs in this area is still in the blank stage, and further research is urgently needed to study the generation, exposure and risk of EPFR in Xuanwei area to better understand the reasons for the high incidence of lung cancer. This study provides new basic data and explanations for the high incidence of Xuanwei lung cancer.
