About Our Group

April 2023

Our group has started from August 2011 in Institute for Environmental Science and Technology in Saitama University. Since April 2014, it was moved to Area of Green and Environmental Innovation, Division of Strategic Research and Development, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saitama University. Then, since April 2022, it has been moved to Applied Chemistry Program, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Saitama University. We are studying about molecular mechanisms how plants respond to environmental stimuli. Particularly, we are focusing on transcriptional regulation of cell wall formation and environmental stresses. In addition, based on the knowledge, we are also trying to generate plants that obtain useful properties.
Our group is working with the group of Prof. Maki Kawai-Yamada and Associate Prof. Toshiki Ishikawa.
Masa stayed in Prof. Carl Douglas laboratory in UBC since April 2015 for one year.
